APGA Chairman Apologizes for Supporting Otti Over Party Candidate, Admits to Grave Mismanagement in Abia State Budget | #NwokeukwuMascot

The chairman of the Abia State chapter of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Mr. Ebekuo Esere, has made a significant public apology to Mr. Eks Steve, a well-known advocate for good governance and a vocal critic of Governor Alex Otti.




This apology is a notable shift from Esere's earlier support for Otti's election, a move that was made at the expense of the APGA’s own party candidate.




In his statement, Esere expressed deep regret not only for his previous disparaging remarks against Steve but also for backing Otti’s candidacy over his party’s candidate. He acknowledged the severity of the criticisms that Steve had raised regarding the Abia State budget, which includes allegations of inflated figures and fictitious projects.




His words, "My brother EK Steve, let me publicly apologize for all my negative comments against you. Truly, we are in for serious trouble."



Esere continued by describing the current situation as akin to being in a “one-chance vehicle” heading towards an unknown and dangerous destination, underscoring his growing alarm over the financial mismanagement highlighted in the state’s budget reports.

“We boarded a one chance vehicle that is taking us to an unknown destination while we re being raped unprotected, Very sad.” He stated. 





His apology reflects a broader dissatisfaction and a call for increased transparency and accountability in the management of state resources. This development highlights the rising discontent within political circles regarding the governance of Abia State and underscores the need for a thorough investigation into the reported budgetary discrepancies.
