The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has pledged to remain with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Wike categorically stated his preference to remain in the PDP and make the changes he wants from the party and not defect to the APC.

He stated this during the media briefing on Wednesday which coincided his one year anniversary in office as the FCT Minister.

The former Governor of River state, Barr Wike also vowed to address injustices within the party and to ensure that the rights of its members are upheld.

His words: “Nothing will make me leave the PDP even if the fortunes in my state, Rivers as well as at the national arena deteriorate. ”I shall die for this. Let me state here that I am not ready to be a member of the APC. I have said it, and allow me to say it one more time.

“The work I am doing here I received it from the president and I am intent on bringing the work to a successful completion.

“I will not sit back and let the party I have worked for many years to continue to undermine its members I will not permit that. ”
