Gov Alex Otti Fuels Speculation on Defection to APC Following Benjamin Kalu's Statement | #NwokeukwuMascot

Governor Alex Otti has stirred further controversy over speculation that he might leave the Labour Party (LP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC), following remarks made by the Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives. In a recent statement, Kalu declared that Abia State's next governor must come from the APC, irrespective of the fact that Governor Otti, who he said was his close associate, was elected under the Labour Party.





During a media chat last night, Governor Otti was asked to respond to Kalu's comments, which have ignited a flurry of political conversations across the state. Rather than offer a direct denial or confirmation, Otti opted for a measured response, stating that only God knows what the future holds.






"I choose not to respond directly to Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu’s statement because I’m not in a position to answer that. Only God knows what will happen tomorrow, and only He can reveal the future. Power belongs to God, so I’m not concerned," Otti said, maintaining an air of ambiguity.
