News File Image The women of Obibor, Asa, in Umunneato Autonomous Community, Ukwa West LGA of Abia State, on Friday stormed the palace of their traditional ruler, Eze Tunde Onyemachi Ehiemere, demanding justice over the destruction of their farms by cattle allegedly belonging to Fulani herdsmen. The protesters, who demanded compensation for the cassava and other crops destroyed by the cattle—losses running into millions of naira—called for an end to cattle grazing on their farms. Some of the women, who wept during the protest, lamented that crops in their farms, including those ready for harvest and those still in the development stage, had been devastated after herdsmen led their animals onto the farmland.
