All Is Not Well With Abia PDP – Skelzy Ubani

Mr Ubani a prolific writer and seasonal political analyst has noted keenly reasons why he feels all is not well with Abia state PDP.

Recall that Abia state Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, the Abia south People’s Democratic Party’s Senatorial flag bearer on Monday commissioned the first ever Interchange in the state after 31 years of her existence.

Mr Skelzy noted the absence of some political hotheads of the state in the event, which Gov Ezenwo Nyesom Wike of rivers state was the special guest.

Mr Ubani wrote “After watching a television program on Arise TV channel yesterday Night, where a popular prolific journalist TV presenter and a political analyst Rufai Oseni constructively make mockery of my dear state stating After 31 years of state creation, Abia State government proudly erect a single flyover.

After making the statement he laughed and laughed and laughed  uncontrollably with the other of his fellow presenters.

“He further made comparisons with other states which has flyovers but do not have that juicy monthly allocation and internal generated revenue to that of Abia state, or neither do those states belong to oil producing state.

“Rufai Oseni didn't stop their with his comparison and analysis, he noted that other neighboring state within the south east has more than 3 to 4 flyovers since their creation, and the government of Abia state is celebrating a single flyover after 31years of creation and the government in question succeeded in erecting such after 7years.

“And again, these Arise TV presenter began to laugh and laugh and laugh uncontrollably forgetting that Millions of people are watching it, ironically he mocked our dear state over poor infrastructural projects development.

“In other words, on the commissioning of our state first flyover yesterday. I observed that most Abia prominent People's Democratic Party(PDP) politicians, party chieftains, and other Abia elite where conspicuously absent for no reasons.

“The speaker of the state house of assembly, RTH Hon. Chinedum Orji and his deputy where absent, I also learnt that he didn't want to be there instead he left the country ahead of the commissioning day.

“The only PDP senator representing Abia central, Sen. T. A Orji was also absent.
I also learnt that he complained of poor logistics.

The Osisioma local government chairman was also not in the country, and this happened to be his local government where such edifice signatory structure is being erected, Elder Adaelu was no where to be found, and that happened to be his local government as well.

“The former PDP deputy Governor, Chief Eric Acho Nwakanma also ignored the event, Another party chieftain Raymond Aliga Mkpuruoma also ignore the commissioning of the state first flyover.

Rt Hon. Eziuche Chinwe Ubani, a former Federal house of representatives member, representing Obingwa, Osisioma and Ugwunagbor and  former commissioner for works also ignored it and left to Abuja as well.

Another current federal house of representatives member Hon. Uko Nkole also jettisoned the said event. The former Chief of staff to the governor, Prof. A C B Agbazuoenre also over look the event.

“Over 86% of local government chairmen conspicuously ignored the event yesterday.

“Irrespective of their individual engagement of the day to day running of government activities and programmes, why where this prominent and influential men were conspicuously absent on that very day?

Deeply read in between lines, their absent is giving  a wrong signal. From the political outlook of entertainment in such event, it appears that the governor was abandoned and mocked.

I felt all is not well with Abia PDP, some thing need to be done, election is around the corner.
