In a press release captioned: “Unfounded Reports on Rivers State”, the Commissioner of information, Mr Warisenibo Joe Johnson stated that nobody was sacked by the Governor as claimed by the media. The singer, who donned the police uniform during the conference, went viral on Monday after she recited the national anthem at the event and missed the lyrics. This led to knocks from the netizens as they trolled the singer, who was presumed to be a policewoman because of her outfit. In a video  on her Instagram page on Tuesday, Descushiel apologised for her errors. The video was captioned: "I sincerely apologise for the error I made during the recital of the National Anthem, I know such errors are inexcusable. During the early hours of Sunday, the bandits also killed a couple during their  attack  on the community. Mr. Sunday Akor, the elementary school teacher, is a native of Benue State. As per Maigari Ben, a community leader who verified the occurrence on Sunday, no one was abducted during the assault. “They killed a man and his wife as well as Mr. Sunday Akor, a primary school teacher who was a native of Benue State,” he clarified. Already, signatures are being collected from  the State House of Assembly members clandestinely to meet the mandatory number required for the impeachment of a Governor in Nigeria. Undisclosed sources say it is the handiwork of his predecessor who is desirous to whip the state into his perpetual control.
