Native Doctor Shoots Client Dead While Testing Bulletproof Charm.

The Enugu State Police Command has arrested a 23-year-old native doctor, Odoh Emmanuel, who sh0t and killed his client while testing the gunshot protection charm he prepared for the deceased. Spokesperson of the command, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, who disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, said the incident happened in Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of the state. According to the PPRO, the suspect shot the deceased, Onunze Benedict, with a locally-fabricated single-barreled gun in his shrine while testing the potency of the charm on him.

Spanish authorities finds three stowaways on the rudder of a ship  completed 11-day voyage from Nigeria. A picture gotten from coastguard shows the men on the rudder of an oil tanker helm, and their feet less than a metre away from the water. Nigerian club Lobi Stars rule out move to sign Ronaldo

The reports linking the Lobi Stars did not sit well with the Nigerian club and has subsequently denied the rumours in a statement on its verified Twitter page. Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side Lobi Stars F.C said they have not made any move to sign Cristiano Ronaldo following his divorce from Manchester United. The Federal Government has unveiled the redesigned naira notes to the public. It was unveiled at the Federal Executive Council meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari a few minutes ago. The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele warned Nigerians against hoarding of the old notes, saying there is no going back on the January 31st 2023 deadline to completely render the old notes useless. The redesigned notes are in denomination of N1000, N500 and N200.

The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum, AYCF, has highlighted its next line of action if Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, is released. AYCF warned that it would demand compensation for Northerners killed and their properties destroyed in the Southeast if Kanu is released. Yerima Shettima, the National President of AYCF, said releasing Kanu would show a sign of weakness on the part of the government. According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), “in terms of the proportion of poverty and its intensity, the poorest states included Sokoto, Bayelsa, Jigawa, Kebbi, Gombe, and Yobe.“ The multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) survey report released yesterday measured deprivations related to education, health, living standard, work and security shows Abia State among the top 5 best states in Nigeria. According to a report in Punch newspaper  of 18th November, 2022. “The NBS report further showed Sokoto, Bayelsa, Gombe, Jigawa and Plateau are the top poorest states in 2022. “Sokoto leads the poorest with 90.5 per cent of people in the state poor. It is followed by Bayelsa with 88.5 per cent poor people, Gombe with 86.2 per cent, Jigawa with 84.3 per cent, and Plateau with 84 per cent.  The least poor states are Ondo with 27.2 percent poor people, Lagos with 29.4 percent, Abia 29.8 percent, Edo with 31 percent, and Anambra with 32.1 percent.”

UK Police officer Jailed For Stealing £80 From Lost Wallet

Mohammad Ghalayini, a former police officer in London, have been sentenced to 22 months in prison for stealing £80 from a lost wallet that was turned in to police. According to BBC, Ghalayini was convicted of theft and perverting the course of justice after a member of the police force reported the missing cash in September and was thereafter jailed in October. Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has described the death of Nonagenarian and foremost Aba City Father, Sir Samson Onyeso Nwachukwu, OFR as the end of yet another glorious era in elevated public service. Governor Ikpeazu made this assertion yesterday when he paid a condolence visit to the family of the Late Sir Onyeso Nwachukwu at Station Road, GRA Aba.
