   News     File Image   The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has distanced itself from the Labour Party (LP) National Convention held in Anambra on Wednesday. According to Mr Rotimi Oyekanmi, the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman of INEC, the commission did not oversee or monitor the convention. Oyekanmi did not provide further details on why INEC did not monitor the event. However, it was reported by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the LP had changed the convention's venue from Umuahia in Abia to Nnewi, Anambra State on Tuesday.
