Abia Judiciary Workers are not owed, ignore mischief makers - Barr Prince Ekwenye Nwanju.

In an interview granted by Hon. Prince Ekwenye Nwanju(Ohamadike Ndigbo) by Chibuike Enyioko and Eze Ezeh, to clear the rumors circulating, that Abia State  judges, Magistrates & workers are being owed 8 months areas of salaries by Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu.

Responding to the rumor, Hon.Prince Ekwenye Nwanju, the former A.g Chairman of the Abia State Judiciary High Court & Magistrate Court workers/ Rec.at the JSC, a Fmr SSA to Gov Okezie Ikpeazu on Civil Service and Labour Union Matters, authoritatively said "No judge or any  worker in Abia State Judiciary is being owed salary arrears".


Barr Prince responding to a media report, alleging that judges & Staff in the state are being owed for 8 months, challenged those behind the rumors to present proof of their claims.


Hon. Nwanju, further explained that salaries of Judges nation-wide are paid by the National Judiciary Council (NJC), wondering how Judges in Abia would be singled out and owed.


Ohamadike added that the salaries of the Abia State Judiciary workers had been paid uptill today the 13/10/22, and directed the rumor mongers  to present the salary slips and statements of  accounts of the staff of the Abia State Judiciary to prove their cases beyond all reasonable doubt", Ohamadike declared.


In his words, he said “Abia Governor pays the allowance of the Hon. Judges including their vacation allowance at when due”, adding that “ the 2022 annual vacation allowance has been paid.” 


He described the report as “misleading and an embarrassment to the performing State Governor and PDP flag bearer for Abia South Senatorial Zone in the 2023 General elections”.

Addressing the newsmen Government House Umuahia on Tuesday, Hon. Prince Ekwenye Nwanju, urged members of the public to discountenance the report, insisting that Judges & workers in Abia receive their salaries promptly from the workers friendly Governor.


The reputable legal practitioner requested for unconditional apologies to the Governor from those behind these rumors mongers and psychopath politicians.
