GOV. IKPEAZU VISITS PDP CAMPAIGN DG, ELECHI, VOWS TO BRING ASSAILANT TO BOOK | #NwokeukwuMascot

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, yesterday visited the Director General of the Abia State People's Democratic Party's, (PDP) Campaign, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Elechi at the Federal Medical Center, Umuahia where he is receiving treatment over matchet cuts from an alleged Officer of the Department of State Service.

The Governor who was visibly touched by the level of harm meted on Elechi and the degree of cuts sustained by the attack, vowed to bring the assailant to book while thanking God for sparing his live.

He described the incident as unfortunate, noted that that a man who could mete out such degree of harm on a fellow human over a little provocation is not worthy to live among humans.

He who commended the management and staff of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Umuahia, for swift actions taken to forestall further pains on the DG,  thanked God that the victim is stable and prayed for his quick recovery.

Earlier, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Elechi while narrating his ordeal thanked God for sending men his way who delivered him from the hands of the assailant, as that he would have been a dead man without their swift intervention.

He appreciated Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for coming to identify with him and other friends, colleagues and well-wishers and particularly, the management of FMC for all their assistance in saving his life.

Recall that the Director General of the Abia State PDP Campaign Council, Rt. Hon Chinedum Elechi was attacked on Saturday by a man identified as an officer of the Department of State Service attached to Ebonyi state command, for allegedly scratching the officer's car.
