Professor Hagler Okorie

The immediate past Rector of Abia State Polytechnic, Aba, Associate Professor Hagler Okorie has handed over to the Acting Rector, Engr. Mrs. Chidinma Ndukwe.

Mr Hagler pleas she sustain the projects embarked upon by his administration in the few months he stayed in office. Specifically, the Abia Polytechnic Micro Finance Bank and Business School.

Hagler who enumerated some of his successes in his few months in office noted that he is happy and satisfied with the level of change he brought to the institution within the short time frame, urging the management and staff of the polytechnic to accord his successor same support given to him.

He used the forum to urge the new Rector to ensure that the welfare of the staff remains paramount on her list while wishing her well in her new office.

Engr. Mrs. Chidinma Ndukwe who described the task as herculean said she is poised to bring back the institution's lost glory.

Engr Ndukwe revealed that funding has remained a major challenge of the school and prayed the state government to as a matter of urgency look into it with a view to  offsetting the 34 months salary arears owed the staff.

The acting rector, Mr Chidimma promised to continue with the projects of her predecessor in order to restore the glory of the Polytechnic.
