The Abia Assembly Election Tribunal dismisses the petition challenging the victory of Lucky Udoka | #NwokeukwuMascot

Today, 28th, July, 2023, the election petition tribunal struck out the matter brought by Barr. Emenike Akubuike, the ADC candidate for Isuikwuato State Assembly election, and the only challenger from about thirteen (13) political parties that contested in the 18th, March, 2023, State Assembly election; challenging the victory of Hon. Lucky Udoka Nweke-Johnson of the PDP.

Recall, Hon. Lucky Udoka Nweke-Johnson, who was returned by INEC as the winner of the Isuikwuato State Assembly election with total 

Commanding votes of (6105) six thousand, one hundred and five; immediately declared a no victor, no vanquish and approached his fellow contestants and brothers to join hands with him for a better Isuikwuato LGA.

True to their self confessed love for their State Constituency, they all harkened to the voice of reasoning and refused going to court. Many, including Chief Akaeme of APGA, Chief Collins Ifeanyi of APC, Chief Njoko of LP, even contributed their hard earned money for his thanksgiving service. It was humbling and a demonstration of their love for Isuikwuato Local Government. 

Only, Barr. Akubuike of the ADC with a total of seventy (75) votes and 8th position went to the State Assembly Election Tribunal to challenge the victory of Hon. Lucky Udoka Nweke-Johnson. However, he withdrew his matter from the tribunal, today, 28, July, 2023 and consequently, his petition was struck out.
