TRIBUNAL: Abia LP suffers a major setback as court dismisses suit challenging the election of Benjamin Kalu, Deputy Reps Speaker | #NwokeukwuMascot

The National Assembly Elections Petition Tribunal sitting in Umuahia, the Abia State capital on Tuesday, dismissed the petition by the candidate of the Labour Party, Chief Frank Chinasa, seeking to nullify the election of the member representing Bende federal constituency and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu.

 The lawmaker representing Bende Federal Constituency in Abia state, Benjamin Kalu, being sworn in as the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives for the 10th National Assembly. 
The three-man tribunal, in a unanimous judgment read by its Chairman, Justice Samson Paul Gang, dismissed the petition for lack of merit.
