The lawmaker representing, Obingwa-West State constituency in Abia State House of Assembly (ABHA), Hon. Erondu Uchenna Erondu has applauded Master Mbaraonye Ncheta Evans, for emerging the overall best candidate for May/June 2023 West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

Hon. Erondu Jnr who disclosed this to newsmen in Umuahia Abia State today, said that Mbaraonye has displayed the resilience and ingenuity of Ndi-Igbo.

In his words: "Mbaraonye's excellent performance of scoring A1 in all the Nine WAEC subjects has made his constituency (Obingwa-West), the Ngwa nation, Abia state and the South-East region proud".

The House Committee Chairman on Public Service Matters, ABHA, further charged Mbaraonye to sustain his sterling performance through hardwork, praying God to grant him more wisdom for academic exploits.

He urged youths to emulate the 16 years old Master Mbaraonye and strive for excellence in their various endeavours, insisting that success is a choice and not a gift.

Master Mbaraonye; the last child of a seasoned Abia industrialist and a business mogul, Chief Evans Mbaraonye, hails from Itungwa, Obingwa Local Government Area (LGA), Abia state, emerged the overall best in West Africa in the May/June 2023 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), beating over 1,500,000 million candidates that sat for the school exam in the five member countries in the sub region.
