Abia NIPR Election: Corruption Allegations Trail ex MOUAU PRO, Onyinye Ralph-Nwachukwu Candidacy | #NwokeukwuMascot

Accusation of corruptions have continued to trail the candidature of Mrs. Onyinye Ralph-Nwachukwu, who is vying for the Chairmanship seat of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Abia state.

Mrs. Onyinye Ralph-Nwachukwu has been in the eye of the storm for several alleged criminal reasons in Abia owing to alleged corruption cases ranging from defrauding of corporate bodies using the former Vice Chancellor's name (Prof. Hillary Odo Edeoga) of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike (MOUAU), Abia state, criminal abduction of Journalists from National Ambassador Newspapers in Abia, job racketeering, the use of unconventional means to gain undue influence and promotion among others.

The former Broadcasting Corporation of Abia (BCA) staff, according to a source from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike (MOUAU), alleged that former University Public Relations Officer (PRO), is notorious for alot of unprofessional conducts in the citadel of learning which several panels she faced, found her culpable with corresponding sanctions meted on her.

MOUAU Councils decisions on Disciplinary Cases of Mrs. Onyinye Ralph-Nwachukwu according to MOUAU Bulletin (2018) reads thus:

"Council at its 73rd Statutory meeting held on Thursday, 30th November, 2017 approved the recommendations of the Council Committee and Staff Discipline (CCSD) that found her Mrs. Onyinye Ralph-Nwachukwu culpable in allegations of receiving gratification, using the Vice-Chancellors name from the Chairman of Hotel Royal Damgrete, Dr. Steve Ihedigbo. Council therefore, approved that she should:

i.       Be warned in writing

ii Be denied promotion for the next three (3) years

iii Not hold any sensitive responsibility for the next ten (10) years".

A source also revealed that the excess funds she (Mrs. Onyinye Ralph-Nwachukwu) allegedly defrauded the university through her manipulated promotions among others, are been deducted from her salary by MOUAU bursary unit.

"These records of criminalities among others, make Mrs. Onyinye Ralph-Nwachukwu socially unfit to represent the reputable image of NIPR, and spells doom for the institute", the source further disclosed.

Our respondent who is also a member of NIPR, expressed worries over the development, adding that any plot to sweep these weighty corruption allegations against Mrs. Onyinye Ralph-Nwachukwu under the carpet would spell doom on NIPR in Abia state.

Meanwhile, NIPR National President, Dr.  Neliaku and his team are yet to take a firm stand on several evidence-based petitions sent to the body, as pressure to impose her (Mrs. Onyinye Ralph-Nwachukwu) on NIPR Abia State chapter continues.

Efforts to speak with Mrs. Onyinye Ralph-Nwachukwu on the matter proved abortive as several calls put across to her got no response as at the time of filling this report.
