Members of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic, and Non Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic in Abia State College of Health Sciences and Management Technology Aba said they can no longer guarantee the reaction of their members over three months owed salaries by Governor Alex Otti.
In a protest letter addressed to the Rector of the Abia State College of Health Sciences and Management Technology Aba and made available to Promise Uzoma Okoro P, the body said they cannot guarantee the reaction of their members if their Salaries are not paid within the next 72hrs.
Comr Kanu Michael and Comr Egwuibe Kingsley who signed on behalf of ASUP and NASU, said despite completing staff Verification, they are being owed three months salaries.
"Unfortunately, to date having completed the staff verification excercise,our members are yet to receive our salaries or explanation as to management inability to pay"
"We wish to state that our college is one of the institution noted for regular and prompt payment of Salaries before now, we wish to state that the present state of affairs cannot guarantee industrial harmony, thus we may not control our members reaction as they have almost reached to a point of frustration" the stated.
