VIDEO: Thousands Of Ogun State Youths Protest In Abeokuta | #NwokeukwuMascot

Some youths have hit the streets of the Panseke area of Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, in protest over the death of popular musician, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, who died on Tuesday last week.

The youths who are demanding justice for the late musician reportedly gathered in their numbers at the skating ground arena in Abeokuta, wearing blacks and carrying placards with various inscriptions including #JusticeForMohbad, #Who off Light among others.

According to a video also shared by an eyewitness, the youths’ protest is under police scrutiny, as the protesters stormed the major roads and caused some gridlock.

Mohbad, who was a signee of Marlian Music, a record label owned by popular singer and rapper, Azeez Faashola, popularly known as Naira Marley died last Tuesday at the age of 27.

Recall we had reported that the Lagos State Police Command on Monday inaugurated a 13-man special investigation team to investigate the actual cause of Mohbad’s death. The police had also hinted that it might exhume the body of the late musician for autopsy.

The Lagos State Commissioner, Idowu Owohunwa on Monday while inaugurating the special investigation team said, “Do not forget, we have unique access with INTERPOL. Everybody linked to it (the death of Mohbad) will be identified and they will be brought to establish their level of involvement.”
