A Bishop of the Aba Diocese of the Anglican Church Bishop Ugwuzor has frowned at the Statement released on behalf of Governor Alex Otti by his Media Adviser attacking the Church over their advise to the Government.

One of the Bishop that signed the communique while reacting to the statement Credited to Governor Alex Otti via a WhatsApp group (Equity Reporters) said the Church has never made any request to the Governor since he became Governor except when they invited him to their synod which he honoured.

Recall our earlier reports of Alex Otti's response to the communique by Anglican bishops of Aba condemning the sack and non payment of Abia civil servants, saying it was because one of their daughters who was employed by Ikpeazu’s administration was sacked.

The irrational decision by the Alex Otti’s government has met public criticism as it goes against his campaign promises which was recorded on video. Click Here to watch Otti saying he won’t sack civil servants rather create more jobs.

Reacting to the statement of credited to Gov Alex Otti, which was made public by one of his media aide’s, Mr Ferdinand Ekeoma, the Anglican bishop said he’s not a politician and won’t play dirty politics of lies and deceit like the present Abia state government.

The state reads in full: "Do you people expect us to respond to bundle of lies and falsehood by Ekeoma?

"I am not a politician and will not behave like those playing dirty politics.

"By the grace of God, we are bigger than their lies on non existent request to Governor Alex Otti since became Governor except to invite him to our Synod which he honoured , I only advise Government on some issues because I want them to succeed.” Bishop Ugwuzor stated.

He said the Anglican church will soon come out with an official statement regarding the attack by the Abia State Government.
