The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State Biafra, MASSOB under the leadership of Comrade Uchenna Madu has condemned the use of fighter jet to bombard some parts of Igbo land.
This statement is following the report from the Nigeria Airforce saying that the Aircraft under the Air Component of Operation UDO KA II carried out several strikes on Tuesday 26th september 2023 on IPOB/ESN locations at Mother Valley in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State and at Aku Ihube in Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State.
A Statement by the Air Force spokeperson, Air commodore Edward Gabkwet says the strikes at both locations achieved their intended outcome.

The statement partly reads: "Air strikes were also conducted, same day, in close coordination with surface forces at IPOB/ESN hideout camps in Aku Ihube In Imo State after detailed analysis of intelligence on the terrorists converging for a likely rendezvous at their hideout."
Gabkwet further said the Air Force and other security agencies will continue to ensure all Nigerians, irrespective of where they reside, are safe and free to conduct their activities.
However, MASSOB has called for a stop of the bombardment which it said is done in the guise of fighting the unknown gunmen in their hideouts in some towns in Anambra and Imo state.
A statement by its National Director of Information, Comrade Edeson Samuel reads: “MASSOB views this hypocritical military move as another dimension of political ethnic cleansing of Ndigbo by the Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu led APC illegal administration.
“Ndigbo are not surprised that Bola Ahmed TInubu have reawakened and follows the footstep of his predecessor and master, General Mohammadu Buhari by making sure that Ndigbo and Igbo land will become irrelevant in this geographical entity called Nigeria.
“This is a clear evidence and true manifestation of pathological hatred and jealousy against Igbo nation by the Arewa and Oduduwa people.
“MASSOB observes that the biased Federal government of Nigeria have entered into negotiation with the Northern Nigeria based Islamic terrorist bandits groups.
“These are well known and globally recognized terrorist groups that have, raped, kidnapped and committed open and brazen genocide against Christian communities and villages in northern regions of Nigeria.
“They have destroyed many homes and displaced the inhabitants of the native lands in their quest for Islamic religious occupation, still the Nigeria government is negotiating with them instead of getting them arrested.
“Though MASSOB do not support any form of criminality or violent agitation, we also do not support the use of military jet fighters to bombard and destroy Igbo land.
“Bombing the so called hideout of the unknown gunmen will never yeild any positive result, you can never get peace by bombing or killing the people.
“MASSOB reiterate our demandl for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu because his release will douse security tension in Igbo land.
MASSOB wish to remind the Nigeria state that a self determination ideology hatched can never be abandoned irrespective of the pressures from the oppressor.
“No amount of military bombardment of villages and communities in Igbo land can stop Biafra actualization and restoration because God, History and Humanity are on our side. “ Mr Edeson ended.
