Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki has congratulated Col Austin Akobundu following his victory at the appeal court yesterday.

The former Nigerian Senate president made this announcement on his verified Facebook page addressing Col Akobundu's victory at the court of appeal as a well deserved victory.

He wrote: “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Colonel Austin Akobundu, our great party, PDP's former National Organizing Secretary, on his well-deserved victory at the Court of Appeal.

“This decision has affirmed his rightful position as the duly elected Senator to represent his people of Abia Central Senatorial District in the 10th National Assembly.

“As Colonel Akobundu prepares to take the oath of office as a Senator, I am confident in his capacity to deliver and bring about a legislative tenure marked by exceptional and people-centered representation.

“This success is gratifying because, once again, in another Senatorial District, power has returned to the people."
