...Screaming about N1bn spent on food; wait till you hear what happened to Abia's local government allocations since 29th May, 2023 by Eric Ikwuagwu.

If World Bank through SFTAS didn't make it compulsory for states to publish their Q3 quarterly financial report, how would anybody believe that our "change agent and messiah" would consume N1BN on food, N2.8BN for Security vote, N5.32BN servicing his office, N20M for phone calls, N167M for his fuel, N542.2M for propaganda just within 3 months (July-September) 2023.
A certain Ekeke Chinedu has tried justifying the extravagance by positing that Otti was moderate to have consumed N2.4M daily on meals& refreshments and not the figure that went viral. I ASKED; N2.4M DAILY ON FOOD, MODERATE? When Abia workers have gotten no kobo extra for subsidy removal.
The major concern is the Local government funds that aren't under the World Bank SFTAS
compulsory exposure. Thus; every kobo is shrouded in secrecy away from the knowledge of gullible Abians.
Those who are demanding to know what has happened to Abia Local Government funds are frightened because the funds are entirely in the control of one individual for the past 6 months and counting.
It is public knowledge that about N600M was left in Local Government JAAC account with Union Bank PLC, before it was clamped down using a court order by the then government in waiting before the May 29th swearing-in
ANALYSIS
The following are the monthly statutory payments of Abia State Local Government:
1.) LG workers with health workers= N 1.8BN
2.) Primary school teachers with JSS 1-3:= N600M
3.) LG Pension= N210M
4.) Monthly Total= N2.6BN
for 6 months = N15.6M
From available records and deducing from the 3Q FAAC report, the possible Abia Local government total monthly receipts averaged N8BN; making a 6 months total of N48BN.
If N15.6BN, represented salaries in the last six months . It suggested that the entire local government should have about N32BN in their different accounts.
WHERE IS ABOUT N32BN OF ABIA STATE LOCAL GOVERNMENT MONEY???
..Keeping it honest.
