The State Chairman of the Abia PDP Rt. Hon. Alwell Asiforo Okere on behalf of the guber candidate of the PDP in the 2023 Abia governorship election Sir Okey Ahiwe, his running mate, Dr. Jasper Uche, members of the State Working Committee, SWC, the enlarged State Executive Committee, SEC and the entire memebrs of the Abia PDP family congratulates Senator Austin Akobundu on his swearing-in as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to represent Abia Central senatorial district.

Dear Senator Akobundu, as you assume office today as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, we join the members of your immediate family, the good people of Ikwuano LGA, Abia Central Senatorial district and other Abians to wish you a fruitful and meritorious stint in the National Assembly.

The circumstances of the restoration of your mandate shows that your journey was ordained by Providence and we are very confident in your ability to rely on the experience garnered from the military, administrative and political sectors to frame agenda for discussions that would lead to a better Nigeria as well as make robust contributions on the floor of the Red Chamber for good governance.
