Honorable Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr, the Chairman of the House Committee on Public Service in the Abia State House of Assembly, has demonstrated remarkable generosity by covering the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) 2024 examination fees for 120 underprivileged students.


The enrollment event, graced by the media, took place at Comprehensive Secondary School in Osusu Amaukwa, Obingwa Local Government Area (LGA) of Abia state. As the founder of Igodo Igwe Foundation, Erondu Jnr reaffirmed his commitment to Human Capital Development, not only for his constituents but for all in need.


Having served as the former chairman of Obingwa LGA, Erondu Jnr emphasized the abundance of talent among students in Obingwa-West State constituency and Abia state, recognizing their potential contributions to the state and the nation. He acknowledged the financial challenges hindering students' access to education and the crucial need for guidance in educational pursuits.


The Uhie-lawmaker in Abia house of assembly reiterated his determination to leverage all resources available to bring positive change to his community. He encouraged the beneficiaries to approach their studies with dedication to excel in their academic endeavors.


Expressing gratitude for this unexpected assistance, Miss Enyioma Gift, one of the beneficiaries from Mgboko Umuanunu, shared her relief at being able to register for the 2024 JAMB exam despite facing financial difficulties. She expressed her determination to seize this opportunity to advance her education.

In her words: "I feel so happy and grateful because I wasn't even planning on writing JAMB now because of the financial burden but seeing this rare opportunity, I decided to write the exam to further my academic career".

Miss Enyioma also prayed to God to bless the founder, Igodo Igwe Foundation.

In a similar vein, Mr. Nwandiko Victor Uchechukwu, the father of another beneficiary, Miss Chioma Rejoice Uchechukwu, from Osaa Okea, Ahiaba Ward Five expressed his relief at the financial burden being lifted off their family. He commended Erondu Jnr for his impactful gesture and encouraged other beneficiaries to make the most of this opportunity for their educational growth.


The Igodo Igwe Foundation's annual initiative of providing free JAMB registration, spearheaded by Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr, stands as a beacon of hope for indigent students within his constituency, Abia state, and beyond. This educational exercise underscores the lawmaker's unwavering dedication to empowering the youth and fostering a brighter future for all.
