An  unimaginable incident occurred within soldiers of the Nigerian military, as one  soldier identified as James Kingsley went on a shooting rampage at the Forward Operational Base in Magami, Sokoto.

The unfortunate event occurred on Sunday at about 6:05 pm, when a Second Lieutenant identified as OC Ukachuckwu was reportedly killed.

According to military sources, Corporal James Kingsley, attached to Team 3 for Operation HADARIN DAJI (OPHD), opened fire on 2nd Lieutenant Ukachuckwu, causing his tragic demise.

As other soldiers present at the scene quickly intervened, by fatally shooting Corporal Kingsley.

The incident, as obtained by Sahara Reporters from a detailed military signal, described the tragic situation where Corporal Kingsley went on a shooting spree, targeting both his senior officer and other personnel present at the Forward Operational Base.

The injured soldiers are reportedly in stable condition and receiving medical attention.

The military signal, signed by Major MD Mikaailu, reads; “While on stand-to period 03NA/53/1572, CPL James Kingsley from 26BN attached to Team 3 for OPHD fired 2LT OC Ukachukwu at Tango 2 FOB Magami.

”The soldiers went on firing everyone on sight, and he was gunned down by fellow soldiers present at the Tango. Both the late officer and soldier were rushed to Magami Gen Hospital where the officer was confirmed dead.”
