Armed Nigerian Policeman Caught On Camera Hiding Behind Wall During Bank Robbery In Kogi | #NwokeukwuMascot

A video has surfaced showing an armed Nigerian policeman hiding behind a wall while a group of armed robbers were raiding two commercial banks in Anyigba, located in the Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State.


According to a reports, the robbery involved indiscriminate shootings that caused panic in the area.


The robbery reportedly began around 5 pm when the criminals attacked the banks and started firing shots as they made their escape with stolen money.


Despite the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) engaging the robbers in a shootout, the video captured the armed policeman hiding behind a wall instead of confronting the criminals.


In the video, a resident of the area can be heard saying in Pidgin language, “They are catching the boys. Look at his head. He is hiding. Nonsense.”


Social media users also expressed their outrage over the policeman’s actions. @Godwin_Dgenius suggested publicly shaming the officer, stating, “We need to find him in the first frame. He would be a hero if it was an innocent young boy.”


@AirdropCommando questioned the priorities of the police force, saying, “The police are going after a woman who gave a bad product review.”


Meanwhile, @Adedamolababy1 speculated, “That policeman could be a spy for them… Just saying respectfully.”
