Ex–Lawmaker, Uzosike Resigns from Party After Meeting Gov Otti | #NwokeukwuMascot

The membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State has experienced a reduction as Jerry Uzosike, the former legislator who represented Umuahia South State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, has officially resigned from the party.

Uzosike, a lawyer by profession, made his departure from the party known shortly after holding a meeting with Governor Alex Otti on Sunday.

In his resignation letter captioned “RESIGNATION OF MY MEMBERSHIP OF YOUR PARTY (PDP)“ was addressed to the state chairman of the party, through his Ohiaocha ward chairman, dated March 11, 2024, Uzosike stated that his decision was based on his conscience and the wishes of his supporters.

Jerry Uzosike’s letter reads in full: “The above subject matter refers; I wish to do this letter to inform you of my decision to resign my membership of People Democratic Party (PDP).

“My reason for taking this decision is due to my conscience, the desire of my followers (Ndi Ogechi Cares) and personal decision.

“However, i want to thank you for the oppoturnity that i had while in your party to serve my people, it was truly an experience.


“Thank you very much and best regards.Yours sincerely, Mr. Jerry Uzosike“ it ended.
