Young Progressive Party (YPP) Calls on Governor Alex Otti to Join Amidst Labour Party Crisis | #NwokeukwuMascot

 The Young Progressive Party (YPP) has issued a call to the Governor of Abia state, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, inviting him to join their party. This comes in the wake of the Labour Party's ongoing internal crisis.


In a public announcement made by the party's publicity secretary, Hon. Bestman Eruba, the YPP urged Governor Otti to consider joining their ranks in order to focus on delivering good governance to the people of Abia.


Earlier today, we reported on the Independent Electoral Commission's (INEC) disavowal of the Labour Party convention,  citing irregularities.


In a statement titled "YPP BIDS OTTI COME", Eruba expressed that their party provides an alternative platform characterized by continuity, excellence, outstanding performance, and accomplishments, with their doors open wide.


The statement in its entirety reads as follows: "Our party is an alternative platform for continuity, excellence and outstanding performance and accomplishments: our doors are wide open." excellence, outstanding performance, and accomplishments. Our doors are wide open for him."


“As Labour Party gradually reclines into needless crisis, I appeal to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Chioma Otti OFR, to decamp to the Young Progressives Party to enable him concentrate on his assignment to lead a new and a better Abia into the prosperous future ahead of us. 


“He can not afford to be distracted by political party crisis and leadership tussle when there is work to be done. 


“Our doors are wide open your Excellency,  we will naturally accord you your rightful position come and join the Progressives and continue your service to the people of Abia State. Thank you, your Excellency, God bless you always. Ogele Obingwa.” Eruba ended.

   News     File Image  Following numerous allegations against Mrs. Nwankego Onyeukwu, the Acting Director of Nursing Services at the Ministry of Health, Abia State, regarding her alleged extortion of prospective and current nursing students. The complain of Concerned parent Forum (for School of Nursing and Midwifery in Abia) which was directed to Gov. Alex Otti and copied to security agencies across the state, prompted the investigation which was stalled by Mrs. Nwankego's non-appearance leading to her arrest and detention. Recall that Dr Alex Otti had earlier suspended the former DNS, Mrs Dorothy Njedika Nwosu, and Principals of all the schools of nursing and midwifery in Abia State, subsequently appointing Mrs Nwankego Onyeukwu and others on acting positions.
