In a recent development, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has made significant changes to its leadership structure. Former Governor of Kwara State and former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, has been appointed as the chairman of the PDP reconciliation committee. This move highlights the party's commitment to fostering unity and resolving internal conflicts.


Additionally, the immediate past Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Emmanuel Udom, will serve as the chairman of the PDP Disciplinary Committee. With his vast experience in governance, Mr. Udom is expected to ensure discipline and adherence to party principles among members.


Meanwhile, Alhaji Umar Damagum will continue to serve as the acting national chairman of the party until the next meeting of the National Executive Committee (NEC). This decision ensures continuity and stability within the party's leadership structure during this transitional period.

The complain of Concerned parent Forum (for School of Nursing and Midwifery in Abia) which was directed to Gov. Alex Otti and copied to security agencies across the state, prompted the investigation which was stalled by Mrs. Nwankego's non-appearance leading to her arrest and detention. Recall that Dr Alex Otti had earlier suspended the former DNS, Mrs Dorothy Njedika Nwosu, and Principals of all the schools of nursing and midwifery in Abia State, subsequently appointing Mrs Nwankego Onyeukwu and others on acting positions.
