Yesterday marked a remarkable moment in the state's governance as Governor Umo Eno embarked on an extraordinary journey, leaving his lodge to stroll to the offices of the Secretary to the State Government and the Head of the Civil Service. Despite the distance and the sun beating down, Governor Eno's actions spoke volumes about his dedication to the people he serves.

Mr Aniekeme Finbarr, SA to Governor on Social Reorientation who made this announcement via his Facebook page said that During the walk, Governor Eno interacted with junior staffers and security personnel, displaying a rare connection with those who keep the wheels of governance turning. However, it was his encounter with Mr. Edet, a veteran gardener at the Government House, that truly exemplified his commitment to empathy and compassion.

Engaging with Mr. Edet, who had served faithfully for three decades, Governor Eno listened attentively to his heartfelt plea for employment for his son, a recent Statistics graduate. Without hesitation, Governor Eno directed the immediate employment of Mr. Edet's son in the Statistics Department of the state government, instantly changing their lives for the better.

In a further display of appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the staffers, Governor Eno announced the allocation of a generous N10 million special welfare allowance to all those on duty. His words of commendation echoed through the complex, recognizing the invaluable contributions of these individuals to the bureaucracy and the security of the state.
