The decision was disclosed in an official statement signed by six key stakeholders and leaders of Ovungwu Ward 8, expressing a unanimous vote of no confidence in the suspended members. The statement cited anti-party activities and negligence of duties, which they stated are violations of the PDP constitution.
The statement reads: “We, the leaders and stakeholders of Ovungwu Ward 8 in Isialangwa South, today, Monday, May 27, 2024, unanimously pass a vote of no confidence on the following leaders and executives of Ovungwu Ward 8, Isialangwa South Local Government, for anti-party activities and negligence of duties, which is a violation of the PDP constitution. They should henceforth desist from parading themselves as leaders and executives of Ovungwu Ward 8 and stop calling illegal meetings as they are no longer part of PDP members in the ward.”
