In a significant political shift, Honourable Chief Ebisike Chimaobi Iheanyichukwu, the former representative for Aba North and South Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, has announced his resignation from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and his subsequent entry into the Labour Party (LP).

Chief Ebisike made this announcement through an official statement, emphasizing that his decision followed a thorough evaluation of the current administration under His Excellency Dr. Alex Chioma Otti (OFR), the Governor of Abia State. He praised Governor Otti's dedication to initiatives that directly benefit the masses and his commitment to completing projects initiated by previous administrations, highlighting a belief in the continuity of governance.

"I have tendered my letter of resignation to the ward chairman of PDP Ward 3, Aba North LGA," stated Chief Ebisike. "After carefully observing Governor Otti's administration and his alignment with my vision and intentions for our people, I am convinced beyond every reasonable doubt that collaborating with him is the best path forward for the development of Aba North and South Federal Constituency and Abia State at large."

Chief Ebisike who was a commissioner in the immediate past administration of the state expressed regret for any inconvenience his departure may cause the PDP, underscoring that his decision was driven by a strong conviction to serve his constituents better through the Labour Party.

The resignation marks a notable realignment in Abia State's political landscape, reflecting broader trends of shifting allegiances and political strategies among Nigerian politicians.

"Long live Abia State, long live Aba Federal Constituency," concluded Chief Ebisike in his statement, signaling his continued dedication to the region's development.

This move is expected to have significant implications on his for local politics and could influence future political dynamics within the state.
