On Wednesday, May 15, 2024, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Umuahia North Executives held a significant meeting at the residence of Honourable Chukwudi Apugo. This gathering brought together a diverse group of party leaders and stakeholders to discuss the future direction of the PDP in Umuahia North.


Attendees included nine PDP Ward Chairmen, Ward Women Leaders, Ward Secretaries, and Ward Youth Leaders. The meeting was described as having fruitful deliberations aimed at charting a progressive course for the party in the region.


Notable stakeholders present at the event included three PDP State House of Assembly candidates from the 2023 election, State Treasurer Dr. Chidi Mbanaso, Traditional Prime Minister High Chief Uche Akwukwegbu (also known as Bawas), Ugochukwu Emezue, and other prominent dignitaries from the Local Government Area (LGA).

The meeting provided a platform for all attendees to contribute their insights and strategies for strengthening the PDP's position. The convener ensured that everyone had the opportunity to share their thoughts on the most critical approaches for the party's success.
