Port Harcourt, Nigeria (May 22, 2024) – Two friends, Celine Ndudim and Afiba Tandoh, a Ghanaian national, have been reported missing after traveling from Port Harcourt, Rivers State to Abia State on April 27, 2024. The pair allegedly went to meet a man they had connected with on Facebook but have not been seen since.

The incident has been confirmed by activist Harrison Gwamnishu, who disclosed the developments in a social media post on Wednesday, May 22. According to Gwamnishu, police have arrested a suspect, Andrew Amaechi, in connection with the women's disappearance. Amaechi was reportedly found in possession of the missing women's belongings.

"On April 27, 2024, Celine Ndudim and Afiba Tandoh, a Ghanaian citizen, traveled from Port Harcourt, Rivers State to Aba, Abia State to visit a friend they met on Facebook. They have been missing since then," Gwamnishu wrote. "A suspect named Andrew Amaechi has been arrested by the police for being in possession of their belongings. To date, no one has set eyes on Celine and her friend."

Authorities are urging the public to assist in the search for the missing women. Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts is encouraged to contact the nearest police station or send a direct message to Gwamnishu.

The case has raised concerns about the safety of meeting strangers from social media platforms. As the investigation continues, friends and family of the missing women hope for their safe return.
