In a shocking development, allegations have surfaced regarding the purported misuse of over 4.57 billion naira allocated for school renovations in Abia State. The spotlight is on Umuehim Nvosi Primary School, located in the hometown of Dr. Alex Otti, the Executive Governor of Abia State.


Despite the substantial funds reportedly spent on educational infrastructure, the state of Umuehim Nvosi Primary School remains dire, raising questions about the allocation and utilization of the renovation budget. Images of the dilapidated school have sparked outrage and controversy among the public.


Critics are particularly vocal, questioning how such a significant amount of money could be expended without addressing the needs of a primary school in the governor's own community. Many find it perplexing and unacceptable that, after such extensive spending, local schools remain neglected.


Reacting to the trending video showing the state of the primary school, Mr. Chinonye MBA wrote, "#4.57BN SCHOOL RENOVATION: This is Umuehim Nvosi Primary School. This primary school is in the country home of Dr. Alex Otti, the Executive Governor of Abia State."

Also reacting to the recent controversy, Mr. Ulu Ogba Ututu, in a Facebook post captioned “New Abia With New Lies And Deceits,” said, "This is Umuehim Nvosi Primary School. This primary school is in the country home of Dr. Alex Otti, the Executive Governor of Abia State."


“I wonder how he claimed to have reconstructed so many public school buildings at the cost of #4.6 billion in Abia State yet the one in his home is in a dilapidated State. This further explains how deceitful the government of Dr. Otti is as it has exposed all his lies. Ego Abia agwụla maka chi” Mr Ulu stated.


Another Facebook user, Mr. Eric Ikwuagwu, reacted to the trending video depicting the state of the primary school in a post he captioned, "WHERE ARE THE ABIA SCHOOLS THAT WERE RENOVATED WITH N4.6 BILLION?"
