Obio/Akpor Residents Rally in Solidarity with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Nyesom Wike, Commend Police for Ensuring Order | #NwokeukwuMascot

Today, the residents of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area in Rivers State came together in a solidarity march to express their unwavering support for Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The gathering also served to commend the Inspector General of Police for his role in upholding law and order across Rivers State.


Addressing the crowd, Hon. Kingsley Ogundu Chinda, Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, emphasized the importance of justice and adherence to the rule of law for lasting peace. "We stand for governance guided by law, not impunity. We fully endorse the stance taken by the Inspector General of Police," he affirmed.


Echoing these sentiments, Rt. Hon. Martin Chike Amaewhule, Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, praised the residents for their peaceful demonstration, underscoring their commitment to democratic principles and the Nigerian Constitution. "In our democracy, no one is exempt from the law. We uphold the principles of separation of powers," he asserted.


Hon. Chidi Amadi, Chief of Staff to the FCT Minister, described the event as a testament to the community's trust and unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Minister Nyesom Wike.


Barr. George Ariolu, Executive Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, hailed Nyesom Wike as a peacemaker who respects the rule of law, noting that adherence to legal principles is fundamental to democracy's strength.


In solidarity, Hon. Emilia Lucky Amadi, representing Obio/Akpor constituency II, affirmed their presence at the march to show support for Nyesom Wike and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Chief Hon. Bright Amaewhule, President General of the GDI, called for unity among elected officials in Obio/Akpor and pledged their unwavering support to Nyesom Wike's leadership.


The event underscored the community's unified stance in supporting their leaders while advocating for the maintenance of peace and order in Rivers State.
