Abuja, Nigeria – Justice Eberechi Suzzette Nyesom-Wike, the wife of the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, has been officially sworn in as a Justice of the Court of Appeal. The inauguration ceremony was presided over by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, and included the swearing-in of 22 other new Justices of the Court of Appeal.


The ceremony, held in Abuja, was attended by several dignitaries, including the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike. The Minister, who is also the former Governor of Rivers State, witnessed his wife, the former First Lady of Rivers State, take the oath of office as an Appellate Court judge.


In his address, Chief Justice Ariwoola highlighted the significance of the appointments, stressing the need for integrity, diligence, and a commitment to the rule of law among the judiciary. He expressed confidence that the newly appointed Justices would enhance the judiciary's ability to deliver justice effectively and efficiently.


Justice Nyesom-Wike's appointment to the Court of Appeal is a testament to her extensive legal experience and dedication to the judicial profession.
