Osaa Ukwu, Obingwa LGA — Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr, Chairman of the House Committee on Public Service at the Abia State House of Assembly (ABHA), has officially launched the construction of a new civic hall for the Osaa Ukwu community. The groundbreaking ceremony took place today at Ama Ukwu Osaa, Obingwa Local Government Area (LGA).


Erondu Jnr, who represents the Obingwa-West State constituency, emphasized that this project aims to enhance community infrastructure, foster unity, and drive development within Osaa Ukwu and its surrounding areas. Represented by Hon. Monday Orji, former Chairman of Obingwa LGA, Erondu Jnr reiterated his commitment to fulfilling the promises made during his election campaign, assuring constituents that he would continue to deliver on his pledges.

"I urge you all to keep faith with me and the People's Democratic Party (PDP)," said Orji on behalf of Erondu Jnr. "Together, through collaborative efforts, we will attract more dividends of democracy to our community."


Hon. Chidiebere Ihinyirimadu (Jato), Director-General of the IGODO IGWE Campaign Team, praised Erondu Jnr for upholding his campaign promises. "He has made the party proud, not only in Obingwa but across Abia State and Nigeria as a whole," Ihinyirimadu remarked.

Chief Seth Agomuo, PDP Chairman of the Obingwa LGA chapter, also commended the project, describing it as a landmark initiative centered on the needs of the people. "This civic hall is a testament to Erondu Jnr's dedication to community development," Agomuo stated.


In a supporting speech, Hon. Ezinwa Abiri, former Abia State Commissioner and immediate past General Manager of the Abia State Passenger Integrated Manifest and Safety Scheme (ASPIMSS), lauded Erondu Jnr's performance over the past year. "His achievements in the constituency are commendable and reflect his commitment to his duties," Abiri said.

Chief Levi Owunna, delivering the vote of thanks, expressed gratitude to Erondu Jnr for the project and prayed for God's blessings and preservation upon the lawmaker and his family.


The foundation laying ceremony was attended by key stakeholders, PDP loyalists, and community leaders from the constituency, marking a significant step forward in the ongoing efforts to enhance local infrastructure and promote community cohesion.
