  News   In a powerful demonstration of unity and resolve, the Ukwa La Ngwa Socio-Cultural Group, representing nine of the seventeen local government areas of Abia State, paid a solidarity visit to Chief Obinna Oriaku (Ekwedike) at his country home in Owerrinta. The visit, according to a statement released by the Ekwedike Media Team, was led by Elder Ogechi Chile. Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Elder Chile explained that the group came to identify with Chief Oriaku in the wake of recent political developments in Abuja, where his name was reportedly substituted despite having received Senate clearance.   News   The Chairman, House Committee on Public Service Matters , Abia State House of Assembly , Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr., has condoled with the Ekeoba family of Umukabia , Okpuala Ohuhu , Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State, over the death and burial of their matriarch, Late Lolo Gold Chinomso Eleanya Ekeoba . Late Ma Gold Ekeoba, who passed on at the age of 65, was laid to rest at her country home in Umukabia Ohuhu amid tears, prayers and glowing tributes from family members, friends and well-wishers. In a condolence message signed by his spokesperson, George Egejuru, and made available to newsmen, Erondu Jnr., who represents Obingwa West State Constituency , commiserated with the bereaved family and thanked God for the impactful and fulfilled life of the deceased.
