VIDEO: Alleged N10 million bribery scandal rocks Abia government market committee inauguration as traders lead protest to LP House of Reps member | #NwokeukwuMascot

 NEWS

Entrance of Ariaria Int’l Market

Few days ago, Abia state government released names of those for appointment as management committees in Aba and Umuahia markets and set a date for the inauguration.

Recall our report on the opinion of Isialangwa Labour party stakeholders, who complained of exclusion from the list, frowning at a situation where Dr. Alex Otti led administration could not find any Ukwa Ngwa business man or woman worthy to be named Chairman of any market committee, leading to the dissolution of appointments and cancellation of planned inauguration.

Again, traders from Ariaria International Market, have stormed the residence of Labour party House of Reps, member, Hon. Emeka Nnamani to register their protest against the Constitution of the market committees

In a viral video made available to the public, the traders are alleging wide – spread bribery amongst Labour party Chieftains amounting to a whopping N10 million naira exchanged hands before the Chairman was appointed.

Though the Governor, Dr. Alex Otti has halted the process, feelers by our reporter indicate that the war ahead is still not over as the protesting traders mentioned names of some traders they tagged PDP loyalists and therefore should be exempted from the appointments.

The days ahead are indeed interesting as horse – trading, blackmail, betrayal and free – for ,- all fight promises to herald the new appointments.

The earlier announcement read:
