There is an ongoing plot to impeach the serving Governor of Rivers State, H.E Sir Simnalayi Fubara GSSRS.

Already, signatures are being collected from  the State House of Assembly members clandestinely to meet the mandatory number required for the impeachment of a Governor in Nigeria.

Undisclosed sources say it is the handiwork of his predecessor who is desirous to whip the state into his perpetual control.

The said plot is thickening by the day as plans have been concluded to impeach the former deputy speaker and incumbent leader of the house Rt. Hon. Ehie Edison.

However, political pundits have dismissed the said allegation that it is the myopic thinking of the opposition intended to cause disaffection and derail the purpose-driven governance  already being enjoyed by the Rivers people under Wike's prodigy.

   News     File Image  Following numerous allegations against Mrs. Nwankego Onyeukwu, the Acting Director of Nursing Services at the Ministry of Health, Abia State, regarding her alleged extortion of prospective and current nursing students. The complain of Concerned parent Forum (for School of Nursing and Midwifery in Abia) which was directed to Gov. Alex Otti and copied to security agencies across the state, prompted the investigation which was stalled by Mrs. Nwankego's non-appearance leading to her arrest and detention. Recall that Dr Alex Otti had earlier suspended the former DNS, Mrs Dorothy Njedika Nwosu, and Principals of all the schools of nursing and midwifery in Abia State, subsequently appointing Mrs Nwankego Onyeukwu and others on acting positions.
