Former Super Eagles forward, Emmanuel Emenike, urged Ndi Igbo in Lagos State to move their investments to the South East following the recent demolition of houses on waterways by Lagos State Government officials.
Emenike, who is well-known for his successful football career, took to social media to express his concerns and provide guidance to his fellow Igbo community members.
In his heartfelt message, Emenike emphasized the importance of safeguarding investments and ensuring a secure future for Ndi Igbo. He acknowledged the challenges faced by the community due to the recent demolitions, which have left many families displaced and their properties destroyed.
Emenike empathized with the affected individuals, understanding the emotional and financial toll it has taken on them. He urged his fellow Igbo brothers and sisters to consider relocating their investments to the South East, where their cultural heritage and ancestral roots lie.
Highlighting the potential opportunities and growth in the South East region, Emenike spoke passionately about the need for unity and resilience among the Igbo community. He emphasized that by investing in their homeland, Ndi Igbo could contribute significantly to the development and prosperity of the region.
Furthermore, Emenike assured his fellow Igbo community members that they would not be alone in this journey.
He wrote, “The sadness is too much after getting approval from the same Lagos State Government. This is pure wickedness. Igbos are in trouble. Bring your investment back home my people. We have Abia State, Imo State, Anambra State, Enugu State and Ebonyi State”.
