Former Governor of Abia State, His Excellency Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, recently attended a Two-Day Investment Promotion event between Australia and the Nigerian Government. The event, organized by the Nigerian High Commission in Australia in collaboration with the Australia-African Chamber of Commerce, aimed to strengthen economic ties between the two countries.


On the first day of the event, Dr. Ikpeazu delivered a compelling speech on the topic of "Efforts by subnational governments in Nigeria to improve the ease of doing business." He highlighted the initiatives taken by state governments in Nigeria to create a conducive environment for businesses to thrive. Dr. Ikpeazu emphasized the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors in driving economic growth and attracting investments.


The second day of the event saw Dr. Victor Ikpeazu participating in a business round table organized by the Australian Institute of International Affairs. The focus of the discussion was on "How to make Public Policy More Effective."

Dr. Ikpeazu shared his insights and experiences in implementing policies that have positively impacted the development of Abia State. He stressed the need for evidence-based decision-making and the importance of engaging stakeholders to ensure the effectiveness of public policies.
