Drain duck worker traps in Lagos underground drainage as Emergency body launches rescue operation (Photos) | #NwokeukwuMascot

Officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority, LASEMA, in collaboration with other emergency responders on Monday evening, launched a rescue operation for a drain duck who got trapped in an underground drainage at Onipanu Bus Stop area of the state.


According to an eyewitness, Mr. Gabriel Anosike, the incident happened at about 6pm, when the drain duck worker employed by Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority, LAMATA, while trying to dislodge and evacuate debris from the underground drainage unfortunately got trapped in between the tunnel.

Other rescue teams include Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, Police, and Oficeee6 of Kick Against Indiscipline, KAI.
