In a distressing turn of events, Felix Olunkwa, the Chairman of the Abia State chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), has been reported missing. His wife, Mrs. Olunkwa, raised the alarm after her husband failed to return home following a visit to the Alaoji Spare Parts Market along the Aba axis of the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway.

Olunkwa was last heard from on Saturday evening when he called his wife at around 8 PM. He informed her that he had left the mechanic’s workshop at approximately 7 PM and was driving towards Umuahia, the state capital.

“Later at about 10pm,” she explained, “I called him back, but the efforts proved abortive and since then, he has remained incommunicado.”

 

Mrs. Olunkwa described her husband's vehicle as an ash-colored Toyota 4RUNNER Jeep (2000 model) with the registration number HS 391 ABC. Deeply worried, she has called on the police and other security agencies to intervene urgently to locate her husband and alleviate the family's distress.

Despite the family's plea, the police in Abia State have yet to make any official statement regarding the missing NIPR chairman. The lack of communication from law enforcement has compounded the family's anxiety and the community's concern.

The disappearance of Felix Olunkwa has sent shockwaves through the local community, highlighting the urgent need for a thorough investigation to ensure his safe return.
