The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman for Obingwa Local Government Area (LGA), Chief Aham Egbulefu, has officially inaugurated the party’s local government executives and ward executives across Obingwa LGA.
The inauguration ceremony, held at Umudim Council Hall in Ohanze, was overseen by the Legal Adviser of Obingwa PDP, Barr. Chimenka Onwudara, who administered the oath of allegiance to the newly appointed executives. During his address, Chief Egbulefu urged the executives to begin reconciliation talks with aggrieved members, following directives from the state leadership. He emphasized that they should not use their positions to intimidate anyone, but rather to foster unity within the party.
Key local government executives sworn in during the ceremony included the Deputy Chairman of the party, Pastor Azubuike Okechukwu; the LGA Secretary, Mr. Chigozie Joshua; and the Woman Leader, Hon. Mrs. Ezinne Ijeoma Ngozi.

Additionally, the event saw the induction of ward chairmen, including Divine Obimba, Barr. Moses Ahaoma, and nine other ward leaders of Obingwa. The ward executives for all 11 wards in the Obingwa PDP were also inaugurated during the ceremony.
While ward 7 to 11 executives where inaugurated at Umudim Council hall, ward 1 to 6 executives where inaugurated at Umuafor council hall, all in Obingwa LGA of Abia state.
Prominent party stakeholders in attendance included Chief Rowland Nwakamma, Obingwa PDP stakeholders ably represented by Hon. George Ubani, Okeoma Dimkpa, the State Assistant Youth Leader for PDP Abia South; Prince Chilaka Onuoha, a former House Member representing Obingwa East State Constituency; Chika Nwaokonko, the party’s Deputy Candidate for the recently concluded local government elections in Abia; and among others.
The inauguration is seen as a crucial step in revitalizing the PDP’s grassroots presence in Obingwa, with the newly appointed executives expected to lead efforts in strengthening party activities and engagement across the LGA.
