Last Friday was a fire Friday in the Labour Party headquarters and rightly so, the current leadership of the Labour Party decided to respond to a man who they felt should be loyal to the party, because he came to the party begging for a governorship ticket having wasted his money in the APC primary in Abia state and was denied the ticket.




On the morning of Friday, 2/5/2025, on Arise television, the governor refused to criticize Tinubu as the leader of the opposition but instead insinuated that the national leadership of his Party was masturbating. Abure, who has been a gentleman till now, decided to fight fire with fire. The idea that anyone with power and money is always right is the reason why we have been reduced to a laughing stock as a country. 




Alex Otti's Campaign to push out the members of the Labour Party and take over the party started in Abia, where the members of the Labour Party in Abia state who helped him come to power have resisted his attempt in the state. Having failed to get what he wanted, he now used the Abia Arise group. Note that he didn't set up an Obidient group or a labor party group that helped him in 2023 but with a group, he has failed elections with since 2015. 




HE Alex Chioma Otti used the ZLP to run his local government council election. This is an anti-party activity. The fact that you are doing very well in the media doesn't mean that we will all surrender the entire party structure to you in the country. Those criticizing Abure for his statement should also commend him for his restraint thus far. 




The Labour Party NEC under Bar Julius Abure is no longer ready to take rubbish in the name of a father who has been managing his prodigal children. 




Before you blame Abure, first blame Otti, the problem in the party was masterminded and executed by Otti. HE Alex Otti has shown that he is a willing tool in the hands of the APC in forming a one-party state. 




Some have insisted that Abure should not have replied to him since he is the only sitting governor of the Labour Party. The truth is that the only contribution of Alex Otti today to the party is only pains and regrets.
