The project, executed as part of his Personal Community Development Service (CDS), was driven by a heartbreaking encounter when he visited the school.  During a visit to the school, Brown Ebubechukwu witnessed pupils learning in flooded, roofless classrooms, drenched by rain and struggling to protect their books. The scene, marked by exposed ceilings, broken windows, and missing doors, left a lasting impact on him. Initially assigned to the Nigeria Police Force, Bayelsa State Command, Brown Ebubechukwu had planned an anti-cultism campaign for his CDS project. However, the condition of the school changed the course of his service year. He immediately swung into action, consulting the school leadership and mob...

Strategically located between Ukwa West and Ugwunagbo LGAs. The project enjoyed backing from global financial institutions like the African Development Bank (AfDB) and First Bank Nigeria, with the Federal Government holding a 20% equity stake. What many saw as a bold step and promising vision was quickly buried under the weight of politics, media optics, and what can be best describes as deliberate administrative sabotage. Upon...

News   UMUAHIA — A coalition of young professionals from the Old Bende bloc in Abia State has firmly denied reports suggesting that Governor Alex Otti has been endorsed for a second term by stakeholders from the region. In a strongly worded statement issued on Wednesday in Umuahia, the group, under the aegis of Old Bende Young Professionals, described the claim as baseless and lacking any legitimacy. They maintained that no meeting was convened by the people of Old Bende to deliberate on the 2027 governorship election, let alone endorse any candidate. The group dismissed the alleged endorsement, which was reportedly led by Hon. Mascot Ikwechegh, Member representing Aba North/Aba South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, declaring it “null and void” and devoid of any democratic substance. In the statement signed by its President, Barr. Chima Charles Ogbonnaya, and Secretary, Chief Chidozie Okwara (Dike Ohafia), the group condemned the action, asserting that ...
