With His Own 100 Days in Office Achievements, Lagos LDCA State Chairman Mocks Abia State Governor’s 2 Years in Office Achievements | #NwokeukwuMascot

In a post on his verified X (formerly Twitter) account, the Lagos LDCA boss highlighted his developmental milestones during his first 100 days in office, boasting of ten completed and commissioned roads across various communities in Lagos a feat that he suggested far exceeds what Otti has achieved in his two years as Abia’s governor.
Ogunlewe listed the completed roads to include Araromi Street (Ogudu), Idowu Dada Street (Ogudu), Ajoke Street (Ogudu), Abayomi Odubena Street (Ojota), Abioye Street (Mende), Julius Kadiri Street (Ifako), Ara Orin Street (Ifako), Awanatu Street (Oworonshoki), Baale Close (Oworonshoki), and Ogundairo Street (Oworonshoki).
Responding to a post by the “Peter Obi Grassroots Mobilization” handle, which praised Governor Alex Otti for commissioning six roads in Aba while declaring him “the most active governor in Nigeria,” Ogunlewe replied sarcastically,
“My first 100 days starter recipe in 2021. Lol.”
One user, reacting to Ogunlewe’s post, wrote: “This is why President Tinubu didn’t bother to visit Abia himself. There’s simply nothing groundbreaking to commission, just repainted roads and media drama.”
Others mocked the Labour Party-led government in Abia for its alleged obsession with optics over substance, accusing Otti’s media team of overhyping routine maintenance as monumental achievements.
“You can’t keep patching ‘apiam ways’ and expect the President to come running,” another user quipped. “Governance is about impact, not Instagram captions.”
The development has reignited debates on social media over leadership performance and infrastructure delivery across Nigerian states, especially as citizens increasingly use social media metrics and comparative benchmarks to evaluate state executives.
Political observers argue that Ogunlewe’s comments reflect a growing sentiment that Abia’s progress under Otti has fallen short of expectations, particularly when juxtaposed with the performance of leaders managing smaller or less-resourced jurisdictions.
As of press time, the Abia State Government has not issued any statement in response to Ogunlewe’s subtle but stinging comparison.
