Politics The Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly , Martins Amaewhule , on Friday called on the Chief Judge of the state to immediately establish a seven-member committee to commence impeachment proceedings against Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Ngozi Odu . The directive came during plenary. Addressing his colleagues, Amaewhule cited constitutional provisions that guide the process of investigating allegations against public office holders. He said, “Distinguished colleagues, let me read what is provided in the constitution.
