The video showing the failed newly commissioned cemetery road went viral on social media, drawing the attention of both the public and government officials.

Among those who took notice was Governor Otti's media Adviser, Mr Ferdinand Ekeoma, who wasted no time in reacting to the alarming footage on Barr Onyebuchi Ememanka's post captioned:“WELCOME TO THE NEW ABIA, POWERED BY ALEX OTTI!.”

Barrister Ememanka’s post reads in full: “My dear brother, Ferdinand Ekeoma,What is happening?

”I don't want to believe that this is the same Cemetery Road you people rushed to commission few days ago with so much pomp and pageantry.

“Few days ago o! What? Chai!

“Nwanne, please go and arrange one correct Press Release and then thereafter proceed to at least 3 radio stations to tell the world how Ikpeazu caused this.

“Okoro Nnaemeka Oti, una go explain tire o!.“ Barr Ememanka wrote on his Facebook profile, Ururu Aja.

As the video circulated online, concerned citizens began questioning whether the flooding in the area was a direct consequence of the collapsed road, which is less than 14 days.

The images depicted a grim scene, with water gushing through the both broken overflowing drainage pavement, submerging every part of the road and causing significant damage to both road users and market.

The Market and local community yesterday, was left in a state of distress, grappling with the aftermath of this unfortunate incident.

Netizens, upon seeing the viral video, expressed concern for the affected residents. We gathered a few who took to social media, making series of post on their facebook accounts addressing the issue as unfortunate and one that contradicts what the Dr Alex Otti’s administration is championing on national dailies, Tv and social media.

Mr Eke.O.Eke, a verified facebook user wrote; “CEMETERY ROAD FLOODING.

”I asked about the condition of the drainage, and was abused. I said it will not take 1 year before results manifest, I was abused.

“Deceit lasts for a while.

”I repeatedly asked if the flooding issues in Aba have been tackled, and I was abused.

“Just one rain, the results are here. The road will fail in 1 year. Governor Otti appears overrated. He is out of his depth.

“Governor Alex C. Otti and Ferdinand Ekeoma, does the Commissioner of Works from heaven, still have his job NEW ABIA INDEED!.“ he ended.

Also, Promise Uzoma Okoro, a blogger and immediately past Deputy LG Chairman of Bende LGA reacting to the trending video wrote: “Cemetery road hurriedly Commissioned by Governor Alex Otti.

“Governor Alex Otti must stop trying to please the media and face the task ahead of him!!! Abia state especially Aba has a very high water Table and inorder to build lasting roads in Aba, the Governor must concentrate on drainage  first and foremost!!

“All the roads he hurriedly built just to celebrate first 100 days in office may not survive this rainy season!!! We cannot keep wasting our scarce resources“.

Another facebook user, Chiagoziam Enoch wrote: ”SOMETHING YOU SHOULD NOTE:Flooding in Aba during Ikpeazu's tenure is as a result of Ikpeazu's inability to channel the roads drainages to offloading tunnels, while flooding during Otti's tenure is as a result of climate change.

“Argumentative essay is very interesting; you argue for or against and you support your points with some premises no matter how illogical they appear but endeavor to spice them up with verisimilitude.
